Should laser hair removal cause blistering?

I have had laser hair removal twice in the past few months. The first time it did not hurt and my face was slighty pink afterwards but not very noticable. The next day I had tiny white blisters on my chin which meant I could not shave, so I stayed home from work for about 3 days until they healed. I did notice a huge difference and was very pleased however I was concerned about the blisters. So I called the clinic and I was told that I probably had some traces of make up on my face and that when the laser hits make up it dries the skin causing blisters. On my second visit, I wore no make up and when she started it really hurt so I asked her to stop, she asked if I was menstruating and I said yes. She said your skin is more sensitive when you have your period and finished making sure I was ok while finishing. After my face looked horrible, bright red with tiny dark purple dots everywhere. Again I had blisters which lasted for about 3 days. Is this normal?

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

Is your skin kinda dark? It looks like it from your avatar. The laser will blast your melanocytes into oblivion.

i dont now i would ask a detrmintologist or skin doctor and get a second opion that does not sound right!

When I went in for my consult %26amp; with all the research I've done, I have never seen blisters as a side effect. However, I could be wrong. My advise: call another laser hair removal clinc %26amp; ask them in general. Maybe they will be willing to answer...If not, explain your situation.
