How to dye your hair neon colors?

okay so i guess i take the label at my school as scene.

thats how im known.

and i would like to put neon colors in my hair.

i never have before,and i do NOT want to mess it up.

i believe you can get like hot pink and all those colors at hot topic.

i just want some hotpink lowlights,but any tips?

or is there a guide out there on how to do it?

yes you can get colors at hot topic but they will not show on dark colors of hair and seldom look right.

they are often dull and just brushing your hair will mess them up. they are not permanent most of the time and are overpriced.

if you want a permanent color that is not dull go to a beuty supply store. i use Sally's but i do not know if you have one where you are located. most salons or pretty much anyplace you get your hair cut you can ask them what a beauty supply store is in your area. there is permanent semi permanent and will be as vibrant as you want for cheep. it will loook amazing . still you still may want to bleach or lighten the part of your hair that you want to dye if a dark color. you should ask the employees. they usually know what they are talking about.

for my birthday i went hot pink :D

i bleached (peroxide) my hair then applied hair fudge just like normal dye, i had it done at a salon and i suggest you do too.

if you want to have the bleach done there and do the fudge yourself, just squeeze a dollop in your hand (wear gloves) and rub in, this may stain your scalp though so if you have patience squeeze little bits on a comb and comb your hair, without missing a bit.

for high/low lights, just bleach lines and comb the fudge through just that bit.

You have to bleach it first. But PLEASE make sure it looks GOOD. SO many scene kids dye their hair a million colors and it looks like complete crap. Barely anyone will take you seriously if you have rainbow freaking hair.

I reccomend putting the pink streaks ONLY through the bottom layer of your hair, or just one chunk through the front. Less is more.

okay, i have a friend who did this. to make it really stand out you have to bleach the part youre going to dye first. its not good for your hair but thats just what you have to do. for best results buy a bleach kit also sold at hottopic i believe. then you can dye it however you want with the instructions on the bottle. since it your first time i suggest you buy the partly temporary kind. it will last about a month, then you can expirement with different colors. (the bleached hair will have to grow out or you can dye it brown if you dont like it)

To only get lowlites put your hair in a high pony tail leavinmg only the parts you want to dye out.
