Yesterday I got one of my rabbit's hairs in my eye. My eye was itching for some time after that and it wouldn't stop oozing. This morning, I couldn't even open my eye. I had to pull it open because it had been sealed shut with all of the discharge my eye had produced in the night. My eye feels totally normal, but it appears swollen and it's pink. The color isn't going away, and neither is the swelling.

It sounds more like an allergic reaction than conjunctivitis. Conjunctivitis occurs more gradually and the eye is red and inflamed. There is a scratchy, sandpaper-like feeling and can be painful. Yours was sudden, itchy, pink, painless and with swelling. Try Benadryl tabs and OTC allergy formulated eyedrops to relieve your symptoms.

MY suggestion is that you try and eye wash, then see how it is doing in the morning.
Sounds like it could be pink eye, but I think it is more likely a reaction to the hair that got in your eye yesterday.

You may have scratched the surface of your eye if you were rubbing it when it was itching. This would cause the oozing, swelling, and redness. However, these are symptoms of pink eye as well. If your eye isn't better by morning, see a doctor because pink eye is highly contagious.
